Investigation of electric roads lacks focus on lighter vehicles

Elisabeth Falemo, special investigator for electric roads, on Wednesday handed over the investigation into how Swedish electric roads should be financed and regulated to Minister of Infrastructure Tomas Eneroth. Among other things, the proposal entails a structure for the introduction of electric roads in Sweden, as the first country in the world.

The inquiry proposes, among other things, that electric roads should be a natural part of the future infrastructure and that they should be financed by users. Josephine Adorelle is CEO of the cleantech company Evias, which develops and maintains electric roads. She believes that this is a good first step in the green transition, but that the inquiry lacks a vision for private motoring.
