"The electrical roads must be able to handle smaller vehicles"

Sweden is in the starting blocks for building one of the world's first permanent electric roads. But why only focus on heavy transports, wonders Josephine Adorelle, CEO of the cleantech company Evias.

- It would be such a shame if the solution can't handle smaller vehicles, she tells Dagens industri.

- I'm generally positive about the investigation, but it's not ideal to only focus on heavy vehicles because there are systems that can handle all types of vehicles - including private motoring. Since the idea is that users will pay for maintenance, amongst other things, it will be more profitable if more people can use the roads and then spread the costs, says Adorelle.
